Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 21 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting Market Research through this source sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Businesses within registered under NAICS code 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing; PSC Code 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies that meets the following specifications for one time buy. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their business size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, small veteran owned, or service-disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS 334510. Consistent with Public Law 109-461 VA's Veterans First Contracting Program , first priority would be given to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns, should there be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside if the requirement goes to solicitation. If insufficient veteran owned and small business response is received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation, then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All information submitted in response to this Sources Sought notice become property of the Government. 1. Background: The VA Palo Alto is requesting the purchase of 1 (one) Portable Ultrasound Machine. The Polytrauma Network Site and Neurology department treat patients headaches which often benefit from visualization of cranial nerves, muscles, and joints of the head and neck. Ultrasound evaluation allows a point of care way to examine and provide interventional treatment directly to these structures. 2. Supply Specifications / Salient Characteristics: SONIMAGE HS2 V1 Advanced Model BOM Or Equal SONIMAGE HS2 Main Unit Linear Probe. HS1/HS2 Clear Trackball Convex Probe Advanced Pole Cart 2 All required software and licenses 3. Warranty and Support: Warranty and support must cover all requirement components in accordance with standard manufacturer s specifications. Delivery Location: Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System 3801 Miranda Ave. (PTRP-MB2) Palo Alto, CA 94304 REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Sources Sought is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: 1. Please respond to this Sources Sought if you can provide the exact brand name products listed above. In the response please cite your business size status. a. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response. b. DISTRIBUTORS: You must provide proof that you are an authorized distributor. VA does not accept grey market items. 2. Please respond to this Sources Sought if you can provide supplies that may be determined EQUIVALENT (Or Equal) to the products listed in the table in the background section above. Please provide details on the proposed EQUIVALENT products such as Manufacturer Name, Part Number, and Description. a.
