General Description: The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8, Orlando VA Medical Center in Orlando, Florida has a requirement to install new parking garage infrastructure to assist veterans and employees in navigating the area. This project will design and install new parking garage infrastructure. The contactor shall evaluate the current parking technology infrastructure and determine a plan for replacing all defunct appliances. The contractor shall install single space sensors above each parking space in the west garage and east garage. Contractor shall remove existing overhead sensors. Contractor shall utilize existing in-ground induction loops on floor 4A, east and west garage. Contractor shall utilize existing communication points and install new communication points where necessary. The contractor shall reuse existing foundation mounted parking signage outside of the garages that will correctly display how many parking spaces are available on each floor. Utilizing 5-inch LED characters that display 4 digits, OPEN and CLSD in single stroke green LEDs and Full in red LEDs. Contractor shall utilize existing interior signage with 5-inch LED character height. Contractor shall provide additional 3-digit aisle displays in the garage interior indicating space availability per drive isle at decision making points. The contractor shall provide a software to monitor the parking garages. The work is to be performed at the Lake Nona VA Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 IAW FAR 36.204(f) The solicitation will be issued on or about July 20, 2021. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Beta.SAM.gov website at beta.SAM.gov. All interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management SAM.GOV.
