- Description
- The purpose of this Amendment is to provide answers to questions submitted by a vendor. Attachment B has been revised to remove SC 7. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. QUESTION: Am I able to contract a separate price point for the ones that are OCONUS ( Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico)? ANSWER: No, in those instances where equipment will be shipped to OCONUS activities they will be shipped to consolidation points in Florida and California. No separate FOB Destination price will be necessary. QUESTION: Is the quantity of 200 per facility or is it at one time? ANSWER: No, the quantity listed on Attachment A is the estimated quantity to be ordered over the year by the VA, not one specific facility. QUESTION: I'd like to ask the government to reconsider SC4 and SC7 as they essentially prevent any other life from being considered technically acceptable and in effect provides Arjo's brand a sole source. SC4 and SC7 has very little clinical benefit, which in our opinion would benefit the patient or the care giver. Would you be willing to remove the two requirements from Table one so to increase competition? ANSWER: The customer has reviewed your request and agreed to remove SC 7 in an effort to increase competition. However, SC 4 will remain unchanged as it s an essential feature and our market research indicated several brands capable of meeting the requirement. The requirement to meet SC 7 - Seat flaps must be curved for buttocks, with shapes that allow easy gripping by staff is no longer required. Attachment B has been revised to reflect the change.
