Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is searching for vendors with the capability of providing Chaplain Organist Services for the Milwaukee Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Scope: The Clement J Zablocki VA medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. has a need for an experienced organist (with at least 5 years of experience of playing in a church or chapel setting) to perform during services primarily on Sundays and during special occasions. For the Chaplain Organist, there are approximately 8-10 Sunday interdenominational services a month (104 service per year) as well as some other additional services requested i.e. healing services, memorial services, holiday services (Christmas and Easter) which need to be covered in the VA chapel, located at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center (5000 West National Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53295). On average, about 8 services per month or 10 services on months that have 5 Sundays totaling 130-140 hours. Protestant Service is from 9:15am to 10:15am and Catholic Mass is from 10:30am-11:30am Sunday mornings. These services are for Inter-Denominational Christian Services. Also, there are Healing Services, secular music for Memorial Services and national holidays, as well as various special holy days. The services last in varying lengths of time, but on average about 1 hour per actual service. This does not include prep time. The organist should be versed in the musical repertory of different Christian denominations (Catholic and Protestant) and understand the musical needs of various Christian groups. The organist must be proficient in playing the organ, keyboard, and/or piano. The organist works with the individual chaplains in choosing music and must be able to work with chaplains of all faith backgrounds. The organist should be versed in English and be able to lead the music for the services. An organist who can sing and assist in leading the music portion of service is preferred. Period of Performance: Base Year: 1 September 2021 31 August 2022 Option Year 1: 1 September 2022 31 August 2023 Option Year 2: 1 September 2023 31 August 2024 Option Year 3: 1 September 2024 31 August 2025 Option Year 4: 1 September 2025 31 August 2026 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 711130. The capability statement must include the following: DUNS number, organization name, organization address, point of contact, business size under NAICS 711130, and socioeconomic status; Company experience; Customer point of contact information for contract listed in company experience along with a description of types of services provided under the contract; Location and relation to the submitting organization (e.g., owned and operated by the submitting organization, a subcontractor, etc.); List of relevant microbiology accreditations; GSA contract number (if a GSA contract holder); Techniques used to perform culture and serotyping; and Timelines (provide sampling kits, provide negative results, provide positive results).
