Description
This is a source sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, small veteran owned business or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NACIS 331192 (size standard of 1,000 employees). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the Fedbizopps website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office NCO22, is seeking sources for vendors to purchase Metro Undercounter single wide medical carts for the VA San Diego Healthcare System. The anticipated award date shall be 7/31/21. If you are interested and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information as indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business small (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified Hubzone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, (7) Is your firm a Veteran Owned Small Business? Small businesses considering participation in this potential solicitation process under any Small Business Set-aside procedure must do so in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Small Business Act. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Hanan.Chaaban@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 3:30 p.m.7/13/21. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The Salient Characteristics for the Metro Undercounter Medical Carts: Must have: Modular system components shall be universal, and the drawers and accessories are interchangeable. Components to have rounded exposed surfaces, free from sharp edges to prevent injury to patients, visitors, and staff. Modular transport carts shall take into account infection control requirements and be fabricated with no exterior cracks, crevices, joints, corners, or angles that may facilitate bacteria. Carts shall be easily moved by one person even when fully loaded. Pull handles are included with double wide carts. Carts shall be made of uniform density, integral, highly durable, impact-resistant plastics and are resistant to rust. They are able to withstand cart washing requirements including temperatures up to 160 degrees F, and drain easily after being washed. Color is integrated into the plastic so there is no color chipping, even if surfaces are scratched Storage modules shall have integrally molded drawer/shelf guides at nominal three-inch vertical increments on both sides of the module. 3, 6, and 9 drawers hold assorted sub containers and dividers to custom fit the customer s needs Drawers extend fully without wobbling or failing, increasing the efficiency of stocking and restocking Sub containers and dividers available for storing small loose or irregularly shaped items. Tops are sturdy, built as part of the cart- not a slip on addition. Shelves shall have a continuous molded lip around perimeter to retain liquid spillage and to prevent dislodgment of materials in transport. A minimum of 12 years, 24/7 shift warranty.
