Page 2 of 2 This is a sources sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be award from this announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to perform market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard 1,000 employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16) is seeking to identify any vendor capable of providing HAAG-STREIT Octopus 900 for the visual healthcare of our Veterans and eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Gulf Coast Veteran Health Care System (GCVHCS), 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39531. The following are the salient characteristics that meets USGS and GCVHCS requirements: Mirror projection system. Ability to perform Ptosis, Disability (SSA) & Esterman (driving) tests. Fixation control Blink Control, Pupil Position Control, AET (Automated Eye Tracking). Peripheral range of 180 degrees (30cm radius Goldman bowl). Test methods include standard white-on-white perimetry SAP, blue/yellow perimetry. SWAP, flicker perimetry for early diagnosis, red/white perimetry (custom tests only). Complete full thresholds in under 3 minutes per eye. EyeSuite software provides real interactive access to your patient data, which is easy to use. Please respond to this notice if you can provide the exact brand name products of the HAAG-STREIT Octopus 900. Prior to issuing a solicitation, and pursuant to the Veterans First Contracting Program, the VA is trying to ascertain if there are any qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) with the capability of providing the above services: (Respondents are not limited to SDVOSB/VOSB concerns; the Government seeks to identify all potentially interested sources). Responses to these sources sought must include the following information: 1. Your company name, address, contact person name, phone number, fax number, e-mail address(s) and DUNS number and company website if available. 2. Your company GSA/FSS contract number if available. 3. Socio-economic status of business (i.e. SDVOSB/VOSB, 8(a), HUB Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business HUB Zone business) 4. Capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. 5. Vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing with their responses. The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the future solicitation. (e.g. if CO determines that capable small businesses cannot provide fair and reasonable pricing, then the solicitation will not be set-aside). 6. Distributors: You must provide proof that your firm is an authorized distributor of the product. The VA does not accept grey market items. Grey/gray market also known as a parallel market, is the trade of a commodity through distribution channels which, while legal, are unofficial, unauthorized, or unintended by the original manufacturer. Interested vendor should submit an email to troy.davis@va.gov. All responses must be received in writing no later than 2:00 PM CST on July 9, 2021. Questions or inquiries will not be answered or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided. No solicitation document is available at this time. Vendors interested in providing an offer will have to respond to a solicitation announcement that shall be published separately.
