Both Small and Large Businesses are encourage to respond. SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS F135 Engine Lift Trailer NAICS: 333924 Size Standard: 750 employees CAUTION: This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for the F135 Engine Lift Trailer with additive manufacturing capability in accordance with (IAW) the attached specifications and for use by United States Air Force (USAF) personnel. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards as this survey is for planning purposes and may not result in a solicitation or contract. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. Disclaimer: This SSS is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. It does not constitute a solicitation (Request for Proposal or Request for Quotations) or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Responses to this notice are not considered offers, shall not be used as a proposal, and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This SSS does not commit the Government to contract for any service whatsoever. Furthermore, we are not seeking proposals at this time. Responders are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this SSS. All costs associated with responding to this SSS will be solely at the responding party�s expense. Any resulting procurement action will be the subject of a separate, future announcement. The information is provided for discussion purposes and any potential strategy for this acquisition may change prior to any solicitation release. Purpose: INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Below is a document containing a description of the F135 Engine Lift Trailer requirement and a Contractor Capability Survey, which allows you to provide your company�s capability. Technical Specifications are attached. 2. If, after reviewing these documents, you desire to participate in the market research, you should provide documentation that supports your company�s capability in meeting these requirements. Failure to provide documentation may result in the government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. If you lack sufficient experience in a particular area, please provide details explaining how you would overcome the lack of experience/capabilities in order to perform that portion of the requirement (i.e., teaming, subcontracting, etc.) Identify any areas of work that your organization believes should be broken out exclusively for Small Business. 3. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements are encouraged. All submissions will be reviewed IAW FAR Part 19 procedures. F135 Engine Lift Trailer PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to satisfy the requirement for the production of the Engine Lift Trailer. The Government anticipates utilizing a one-time purchase order for an expected quantity of two (2) Engine Lift Trailers. The F135 Engine Lift Trailer is a trailer that will need to lift an engine from the ground to a desired distance in the air. The trailer must be mobile and provide adjustability while the engine is secured in the trailer. The trailer must be maneuverable while an engine is on it. The purpose of this trailer is to protect the operators and the engine when lifting the engine into the test stand for an engine test. The contractor shall supply the required equipment IAW the attached Specifications. The information received will be utilized by the Air Force in developing its acquisition strategy. Any proprietary information that is submitted may be used as a general concept but specific information will be safeguarded as proprietary, if so marked and clearly identified in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. The Government requests that non-proprietary information be submitted in response to this SSS. However, should proprietary information be submitted, it should be marked �PROPRIETARY,� and will be handled accordingly. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Proprietary information or trade secrets should be clearly identified. The information in this notice is based on current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. If you offer this product and/or service to both U.S. Government and commercial sources, is the same workforce used for both the U.S. Government and general public? Is our requirement offered to both under similar terms and conditions? Briefly describe any differences. 2. Describe your standard warranty and return process for goods and services furnished to the government for items similar in nature to this requirement.
