- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is conducting market research to identify potential commercial sources of operational satellite-based microwave atmospheric sensor data.� Commercial microwave observations may be investigated in an upcoming Commercial Weather Data Pilot (CWDP) study to assess their compatibility with and efficacy for use in NOAA�s numerical weather prediction (NWP) models and other nowcasting applications.� This is a sources sought notice issued for market research purposes in accordance with FAR Part 10. This is not a solicitation, nor does it guarantee a solicitation will be issued. It is not a commitment by the Government to award a contract nor will the Government pay for any information provided. The purpose of this notice is to obtain market information for planning purposes and to inform the Government�s acquisition strategy in terms of determining if small business and/or socioeconomic sources are capable of satisfying the Agency�s requirement. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action. Please see attached for more details.
