- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project Fisher House 1 Upgrades The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, licensing and qualified supervision for a project to complete upgrades to Fisher House 1at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, VA. General Scope: The Contractor will provide all transportation, material, hardware, parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision and technical expertise to makes upgrades to the landscaping, outside lighting, pedestrian signs and parking lots for Fisher House 1 at the Richmond VAMC. The work shall be accomplished in phases. Work shall include, but not be limited to: Paint two Thermoplastic crosswalk per DOT standards Install two pedestrian signs Solar pedestrian sign (2) that faces traffic with audible pushbutton notification MUTCD section 2A.07 compliant. MUTCD R1-6 Type IX reflective sheeting to provide outstanding reflective brightness, day, or night. Size shall be minimum 12 x 36 Six 1 ¼ Yellow LED Lights. LEDs extend the visibility of the sign under all weather conditions. Highway grade .080 aluminum construction to provide resistance to corrosion. Stainless steel security fasteners and Tufnut mounting hardware to keep the sign secure. Signs are to be weatherproof to prevent outside elements from entering the internal casing. Signs shall be capable of fast, easy installation with low maintenance. Deluxe Confirmation Button 4EVR Pedestrian Push Button with 9 x12 sign. An LED and audible tone provide the pedestrian with feedback that a call has been placed to the sign. ADA and MUTCD Compliant. Remove existing outdoor lights and replace with ten CB LED Compact Bollard (CB32/15L3KUV/BL) Reseal existing parking lot and front drive (14400 sqft.) Repaint existing twenty-four parking lines, four handicap spaces and twenty-eight parking curbs Repaint two existing metal mailboxes (chromium brown) Apply two rounds of weed and feed (spring and fall), replenish all mulch beds ensuring six inches of mulch and level with new sidewalk, replace all dead or dying plants, trim all bushes and ensure all trees have had dead wood removed and not encroaching on building, sidewalks or the road. Estimated construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS CODE: 238990 Size Standard: $16.5 Million This solicitation is anticipated to be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). Solicitation material will be available on/about July 7, 2021. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 15 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation.
