Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisitions, intend to award a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1), to Emory University School of Medicine, 235 Whitehead Bldg 615 Michael Street, Atlanta, to acquire� Expression and purification of influenza hemagglutinin and other viral or host proteins. HEK293 or similar cells, 1 mg purified protein or any amount protein from 100ml culture. � Emory University will provide the Influenza Division with recombinant influenza hemagglutinin antigen proteins or other relevant viral/host proteins, and then CDC will use these proteins to generate antibodies and select a small portion of the antigen proteins for the contractor to solve the protein structures in the presence or absence of antibodies utilizing cryo-EM. Entities further from the CDC would lose time in transition when plasmids and protiens can be exchanged directly on the same day they are created due to the close proximity of Emory.� Therefore, it is not in the best interest of the Government to use a different vendor as it would cause harm (financial and otherwise) that would not be reasonable. No request for quote will be issued based upon this notice of intent. This synopsis ends in 5 days in accordance with FAR 5.203 (a)(1). Any interested companies are welcome to submit their ability to provide the specified products via email to srehan@cdc.gov. Please include reference number (2021-57516) and respond by July 13, 2021 at 4 PM EST. Responses received will be considered for future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
