- � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �7 July 2021��������� Special Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source:�������������������������������������������� The 2d Contracting Squadron at Barksdale AFB, LA intends to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price Contract to L3Harris Technologies, Inc. under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) & 13.501(a)(1)(iii). Market research was conducted and it has been determined that this is a sole source requirement IAW FAR 6.302-1.� Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification: Supplies required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Multiple awards will not be considered for this procurement.� The Government intends to procure the following: (1) AN/PRC-117G (V) 1 ���������������������������������������������������� 3 EA (2) Cable Assembly, J3, Data/Remote INYIN, MP������������ 3 EA L3Harris are the only manufactures of PRC-117G radios and do not have any authorized resellers/distributors. Along with this the squadron already having the PRC-117G radios in their shop along with cables and accessories that work specifically with the PRC-117G radios. The AN/PRC-117G radio meets technical acceptability for this requirement. These radios meet the Ultra High Frequency/Very High Frequency capability for contingency operations. The AN/PRC-117G radio allows our Air Operations Center the capability to provide voice and data to sustain communication for real-time missions. The anticipated award date is after 8 July, 2021. This is NOT a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. ��No contract award will be made on the basis of this notice. This notice does not constitute a solicitation document.� Requests for such documents will not be considered.� However, all information received within (3) days of this publication of this notice will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.� A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the direction of the Government.� The Government will not pay for information received.� The NAICS Code is 334220 and the size standard is 1,250 employees.
