- Description
- This is a one?time service contract to uninstall, protect, transport, and store 40 historical portraits from Cullum Hall to a�location in an archives storage room in the basement of the West Point Visitors Center.�This work is required prior to start of major renovations within Cullum Hall.The contractor shall provide all personnel , equipment, archival supplies for the removal /packing of 40�portraits, needed to be protect the art work from physical and environmental damage, during transit�from USMA building 605 (Cullum Memorial Hall), 2nd Floor Ballroom to USMA building 2101 (West Point�Visitors Center) basement. Contractor will also supply their own dumpster for all debris removal. (See Specifications for further details) Contractor Qualifications 1. Potential contractor and subcontractors must be experienced in handling museum artifacts and fine art valued in excess of $200,000 per artifact within the last two (2) years. Provide three (3) museum references for work completed within the last two (2) years. Submit proof of experience and references with their bid on or before the close of the solicitation. 2. Potential contractor must provide a minimum of $2 million of insurance coverage for the historic property with West Point Museum listed as an additional insured, while the historic property is in the care of the contractor. Submit a certificate of insurance within five (5) business days of award. SITE VISIT FOR 40 HISTORICAL PORTRAIT RELOCATION WEST POINT All Offers are highly encouraged to attend this site visit for the purposes of submitting their best competitive price. It is at this site visit, that offerors will be shown the 40 Historical works of art from USMA building 605 (Cullum Memorial Hall), 2nd Floor Ballroom to USMA building 2101 (West Point Visitors Center) basement. which need to be removed, packed and relocated at the archival storage. All questions regarding the Specifications need to be submitted in writing to FedBizOpps.Gov (www.FBO.gov/) under solicitation number: W911SD?21?R? 0138. A site visit will be held on June 30th, 2021 at 9:30AM local time. All parties will meet at the Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Building 681, 1st Floor Lobby, 681 Hardee Place, West Point, New York no later than 9:00am then Drive over to Cullum Hall and then back to the Visitor Center storage location. Representatives will be requested to sign SITE VISIT REGISTER�indicating the representative�s name and the firm he/she represents.
