- ���This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 21211679QMW009 applies and is used as a Request For Quote (RFQ).�� This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-87, effective, 7 March 2016. It is anticipated that a competitive price purchase order shall be awarded as a result of this synopsis/solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. The U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. Basis for Award:�This�solicitation is based on FAR 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures and quotes will be reviewed and awarded on a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable basis per the solicitation.�Past performance will only be reviewed for �responsibility� basis per FAR 9.1.� There are no adjectival ratings nor will award be based on a best value tradeoff basis.�The vendor�s quote that is the lowest priced and meets all the technical requirements of the solicitation will be awarded the contract. The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement for the following items: Statement of Work USCG (Morale, Well-Being and Recreation) MWR Interior painting of Columbus Recreation Center Bldg 143 *Located at 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226* SITE VISIT: A site visit is required and will be held at 10:00am on Monday, July 12th, 2021. (*** MANDATORY FOR QUOTE TO BE CONSIDERED ***).� RSVP for site meeting due no later than 09:00am on Friday, July 9th, 2021 and all interested parties shall email hector.i.cortes@uscg.mil with the name of the representative attending. Site visit point of contact: Hector Cortes Email: hector.i.cortes@uscg.mil Phone: 410-762-6238 Work Timeframe: Repairs shall take place on-site at Bldg 143, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore MD, 21226 and be completed no later than 30 Sep 2021.�� Work shall be performed during normal MWR business hours, 0800 � 1600, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. Any work outside of this time-frame shall be authorized by the COR. Project should be completed within 20 business days. Vendor shall obtain COR approval signature at the time of completion. The following is the approximate total square footage of the entire gym, including mechanical spaces: 18,100 SF NOTE: Mechanical spaces and the racquetball court WILL NOT be painted in this solicitation. GYM / Basketball Area: 10,502 SF (in the basketball court areas, it should be painted up between 13-15 feet high on the walls) Locker room side of the building: 2,160 SF (this includes the men�s and women�s locker rooms) Main area with the Cardio Room and Weight Room: 3,876 SF. 2.�� Statement of Work:� Contractor will furnish labor, material and equipment to complete the following scope of work. Work consists of the surface preparation and painting of interior walls, doors, and trim of the Rec Center, per walkthrough with and the direction of Ms. Brandie DeRemer: ������������ a.� Surface Preparation Steps and Procedures.� 1.� Cover and protect all surfaces not receiving paint with drop cloths, plastic and tape. 2.� Remove faceplate and register covers where necessary and replace once project is completed. 3.� Spackle and sand drywall, caulking gaps in trim and kilz priming stains. 4.� Fill exposed nail holes, repair egregious nail pops, drywall cracks and failing tape lines. b.� Properly prepared surfaces will then receive the following coats of Benjamin Moore Zero VOC Acrylic paint (color and sheen to be selected by owners). 1.� Apply two (2) full coats of approved Sherwin Williams or PPG premium paint to the walls, previously painted trim and both sides of interior doors of the rooms listed below in the USCG�s choice of color and sheen: -Cardio Room -Weight Room (match banner line, possible addition of another banner line) -Men�s Locker Room (not including Sauna door) -Women�s Locker Room (not including Sauna door) -Basketball Court (from ground halfway up the wall, NOT full).� If scaffolding is needed, protect the floor with plastic and cement board) -Circuit Room- Stretch room -Laundry Room -Hallway (entry blue walls were recently painted and not to be redone) ** layouts to be created for gym striping (3 colors) ������������ c.� Special Notes 1.� Excludes the following work:� Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Glaxing, Flooring, HVAC, site work, Alarm, Fire, lighting, ACT ceiling. 2.� Facility will move pictures, etc. from the wall to allow access to all surfaces. ����������� CONTRACT PERSONNEL: �Any Vendor not enrolled in �RAPID GATE� shall give a one week notice to COR, and gain approval, of intended day and time of arrival of all contractor personnel. Failure to gain approval may result in contractor personnel being restricted from entering the CG Yard base. Contractor personnel are required to contact COR via phone or text at the time of arrival on base and the time of departure. CONTRACT PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: �� Base Period 07/15/2021 � 09/30/2021 USCG MWR COR/POINTS OF CONTACT: Primary COR and Alternate COR are the only authorized points of contact for USCG Yard MWR.� (NOTE: these POC's are only AFTER contract has been awarded.� Contact only the Contracting Officer - Hector Cortes for all questions/bids submittals.)
