- DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS VETERANS INTEGRATED SERVICE NETWORK (VISN) 16 MICHAEL E. DEBAKEY VA MEDICAL CENTER (VAMC), HOUSTON, TEXAS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C25621Q0958 STATEMENT OF WORK/DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, transportation, management, software licenses, and personnel required for supporting a study to quantify the efficacy of utilizing artificial intelligence to support the data collection for the Veterans Affairs Surgical Quality Improvement Program (VASQIP) registry at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77030. SCHEDULE: The Contractor shall furnish a part time contract employee working up to an equivalent of 5-10 man-hours per week, 5 days per week, up to a maximum of 150 hours annually. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Contractor Experience: At least 2 years experience in data engineering for surgical registries and intimate knowledge of surgery databases and outcomes in general. In addition, advanced knowledge of data science and graphic demonstrations are needed. Contractor s duties shall include the followings: Install and configure brand name or equal Carta Healthcare s Atlas AI-Assisted Data Abstraction System. Connect the necessary data sources to the deployment to demonstrate field automation. Support publications on the work. Track and follow up on the status of the project. REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources in order to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted). Please note that if no responses to this notice are received, from either authorized distributors of the cited brand name nor from manufacturers marketing a potentially equivalent brand or services, then this action will be sole sourced to the manufacturer cited in the description above.
