Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport is issuing this Request for Information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having the resources and interest to manufacture MK96 Mod 2 Cold Gas Machined Parts in accordance with the attached Specifications.� THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. �Submission of any information in response to this announcement is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY CLASSIFIED, CONTROLLED UNCLASSIFIED, OR ARMS EXPORT CONTROLLED DOCUMENTS OR INFORMATION IN YOUR RESPONSE. Contractors are required to adhere to Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements. �Section I of the Operations Security Guide for Contractors details these requirements.� The OPSEC Guide is available online at HTTP://WWW.NAVSEA.NAVY.MIL/HOME/WARFARECENTERS/NUWCKEYPORT/RESOURCES.ASPX. �Click on the OPSEC Guide for Defense Contractors. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-171 is applicable. �The contractor shall have a current assessment (not more than 3 years old) for each covered contractor information system that is relevant to this requirement.� The Basic, Medium and High NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessments are described in the NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment Methodology located at https://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/pdi/cyber/strategically_assessing_contractor_implementation_of_NIST_SP_800-171.html. SPECIAL NOTICE: To receive the drawings associated with this RFI, the Company must send an encrypted email request to Julie.Thomas@navy.mil.� The request shall include company name; complete address; CAGE code; point of contact name, email address, phone number (note: only the individual(s) listed in the JCP site are authorized to receive the controlled document); JCP registration number; and NIST SP 800-171 Confidence Level Assessment rating (Basic, Medium, or High).� Incomplete requests will be denied.� The drawings will be provided only those companies with an approved, active Joint Certification Program (JCP) and a minimum Confidence Level Assessment of �Medium� in the NIST SP 800-171 Assessment database (within PIEE/SPRS).� To request JCP certification, follow the instructions for completing/submitting the DD Form 2345 at https://www.dla.mil/HQ/LogisticsOperations/Services/JCP/DD2345Instructions/.� Please complete the attached questionnaire and email to traci.seeley@ navy.mil no later than July 14, 2021.
