- Pre-Solicitation Notice General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting quotes for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described as follows: Replace Roof on Multiple Buildings at Hot Springs National Park, Hot Springs Arkansas. Solicitation Number 140P6221Q0015. The offeror selected shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of this project. Description: Replace roofs of multiple buildings at Hot Springs National Park. Replace roofing on one carpenter shop, one warehouse, one residence, two duplexes, and three garage buildings. Approximate total square footage of all roofing to be replaced is 23,144. Majority of roofs are nearly 20 years old. The old asphalt shingles and felt will need to be replaced with new materials that will match the existing look of the buildings. Repairs to the wood decking may be necessary once it is exposed. Replacement of vent boots, chimney flashing with new materials may be necessary. Replacement of deteriorated soffit, fascia, trim pieces is anticipated. Exterior wood elements that are repaired or replaced will need to be primed and painted as applicable. The Carpenter Shop roof contains 96 solar panels that will need to be uninstalled prior to shingle work and then reinstalled once shingle work has been completed. Type of Acquisition: The National Park Service (NPS), Midwest Region (MWR), Missouri Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) that would result in a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code for this project is 238160 and the small business size standard is $16.5 million. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the estimated price range for this contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. This solicitation is advertised as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-aside. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on www.sam.gov on or about late-July 2021. Search by referencing the solicitation number (140P6221Q0015) and/or by the agency (National Park Service). PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE MADE AVAILABLE. It is anticipated that a pre-proposal site visit will be scheduled soon after the solicitation is issued.
