- This is a sources sought for informational purposes only. The 52d Contracting Squadron is anticipating making a single source award to Systems Technology, Inc for a parachute simulator training update, �ParaSim�. The basic requirements for the upgrade are as follows: PARASIM System Upgrade to Version 7 PARASIM Head Mounted Display w/ Multiple Head Mounts PARASIM Controller Box PARASIM 3-Day Site Visit (OCONUS) The PARASIM� Virtual Reality Parachute Simulator System is a patented, proprietary stand-alone simulation system created by Systems Technology, Inc. The associated hardware components and software features are uniquely manufactured to result in the PARASIM military parachute simulator. Training features are proprietary products exclusively made, manufactured, and serviced Systems Technology, Inc. Systems Technology, Inc. does not utilize distributors, brokers, or resellers. PARASIM is marketed and sold directly to the US Department of Defense through the GSA Advantage Schedule, UNICOR. Currently Spangdahlem AFB has version 6 of the parachute simulator �ParaSim� and it requires the upgrade to version 7 to be operational. Systems Technology, Inc is the only vendor who supplies this product and its upgrades. . If the government decides to continue as a single source a justification and approval document will be completed in accordance with FAR 6.303; Justifications and posted to SAM.gov in accordance with FAR 6.305; Availability of the Justification. This is NOT a request for proposal and does NOT constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this Special Notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
