- Please note that this is not a request for proposal nor a request for quote as there is no solicitation document available. Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to negotiate a limited source contract with U.S. VET General Contracting, LLC for zero gravity gait and balance system. This procurement is intended to be used in the spinal cord injury (SCI) physical therapy/occupation therapy (PT/OT) clinic in order to treat patients who require gait training. Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center requires replacement of their current gait training system. This includes expanding the J-track to a full circle, moving the Guldmann ceiling lift track and re-certifying, and following all applicable infection control precautions for minor construction projects. The proposed action is IAW FAR 19.1406 sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, FAR 6.302-5(b)(6) sole source awards under the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003 (15 U.S. Code ยง 657f). Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is wholly within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for paying on any costs incurred and/or associated with the development of any responses submitted to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing).
