Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Southeast Area (SEA) facilities in Stoneville, MS has a requirement for Electrical Motor Control Center Project. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the requirements. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Quote�for a firm fixed priced construction contract. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238210 with a size standard of $16.5M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. A site visit has been scheduled for interested contractors on July 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Central. Participants will meet at: 141 Experiment Station Road Stoneville, MS 38776 Pre-registration to attend the site visit is required no later than July 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Central. Pre-register by email notification to Nicholas Langley, Nicholas.Langley@usda.gov. Provide names of personnel to be in attendance, limited to two individuals per firm. Please be prepared to wear a face mask and practice appropriate social distancing at the site visit A brief description of the work required is as follows: A. Remove existing Aerator controls, wiring and associated hardware. B. Furnish and install new motor control center to operate aerators and interface with new oxygen monitoring and control system being installed by others. Provide all wiring and interface for a complete and operable system. In accordance with FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000 This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Quote (RFQ). The Government anticipates issuing an RFQ�for this requirement, with all relevant documents, on or around July 19, 2021. The soliciation posting and related documents will specify the due date for quotes. It is anticipated the period of performance for this contract will be 60 days after receipt of the notice to proceed. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
