Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources and whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. The NAICS code is 541219 and the size standard is $22M. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract. The contractor shall provide the non-personal services of Medical Coder and Auditing Services at the 8th Medical Group, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. The contractor shall provide supplemental staffing for coding personnel to perform outpatient records coding, inpatient records coding, ambulatory procedure coding, and related medical record functions covering a wide range of medical specialties for the MTF.� Contract personnel shall have at least one accreditation from a nationally recognized in the United States accrediting medical coding body to include, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based (CCS-P), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Coder-Hospital (CPC-H), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). An accrediting institution recognized by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and/or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) must accredit education.� The contract personnel shall have at least 3 years of experience in outpatient (physician�s office or ambulatory surgery centers) and/or inpatient coding within the last five years, including assignment of E&M, CPT, and HCPCS codes. Multiple specialties encompass different medical specialties (i.e. Family Practice, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, OB/GYN, etc.) that utilize ICD, E&M, CPT, and HCPCS codes.� Contract personnel shall be responsible for verifying and coding of the diagnosis, evaluation and management, admissions, surgeries, procedures or any other codes required for the completeness and accuracy of the record.� � �� The Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing no later than 16 July 2021 at 10:00 AM Hawaii Standard Time. Contractors are invited to submit information demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirement in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this notice. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, telephone number, point of contact (POC), and brochures which will allow the Government to understand your offerings and options. Capability statements should be submitted to the attention of Scott Saito, Contract Specialist, Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific; email scott.k.saito.civ@mail.mil. Telephone responses will not be accepted. All vendors providing to the Federal Government are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) registry with NAICS code 541219.
