This is an informational notice only.� This is NOT a solicitation. Do NOT submit proposals in response to this notice.� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Norfolk District is scheduled to hold a Virtual Industry Day� for construction contractors interested in the upcoming contract opportunity for a construction project. The industry day will cover the Design-Build construction project of a new Explosives Decomposition Chamber (EDC) facility with Air Pollution Control for thermal treatment of explosive material waste streams produced at Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tennessee (HSSAP). W91236-21-R-4002 EXPLOSIVE DECOMPOSITION CHAMBER FACILITY HOLSTON ARMY AMMUNITION PLANT, KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE � This is an informational notice only.� This is NOT a solicitation. Do NOT submit proposals in response to this notice.� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Norfolk District is scheduled to hold a Virtual Industry Day �for construction contractors interested in the upcoming contract opportunity for a construction project. The industry day will cover the Design-Build construction project of a new Explosives Decomposition Chamber (EDC) facility with Air Pollution Control for thermal treatment of explosive material waste streams produced at Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tennessee (HSSAP). HSAAP is a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO) explosives production facility located in Kingsport, TN.� The facility generates explosives waste which has historically been open burned since the 1940�s, and is currently open burned in pans operating under the existing HSAAP Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) subpart X permit (TNHW-148) and Area B Clean Air Act Title V Air permit (568188).� The EDC facility is intended to reduce the open burning of waste explosives. Project includes completing the design, equipment procurement, installation, construction, commissioning, and prove-out.
