Description
This Solicitation is for the repair of test sets used in conjunction with the Ux Validator during maintenance on the HH-60G helicopter. These test sets are add-ons that can be used in conjunction with the Ux Validator tester, but are not part of the tester itself. This effort is planned as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), three year requirements type contract. NSN Basic Quantity Option 1 Quantity Option 2Quantity Total Quantity 6625-01-529-3346 6 6 6 18 4920-01-616-5489 4 4 4 12 4920-01-592-6411 2 2 2 6 5930-01-607-7256 2 2 2 6 Test Set Descriptions: Instrument Display System (IDS) pod set (USAF): PICA: USAF NSN: 4920-01-616-5489 Part #: 12-1002-01 The IDS, used in conjunction with the engine and subsystem sensors (temperature, pressure, torque, fuel, and RPM), provides the pilots with engine and subsystem monitoring. The IDS gives continuous indications of the parameters on vertical scales, digital readouts, and status lights. The system consists of a Pilot's display unit (PDU), co-pilot's display unit, and central display unit (CDU), on the instrument panel, No.1 Signal Data Converter (No.1 SDC) and No. 2 SDC, on the shelf front of the instruments panel, and a rotor over speed reset switch, in the avionics compartment. Since the PDU and CPDU are identical, and the No.1 and No. 2 SDCs are identical, the IDS consists of three basic units: PDUs, SDCs, and the CDU. The theory of operation is subdivided into power distribution, faceplate lighting, sensor signal processing, descriptions of the Central Display Unit (CDU) and the Pilot's and Copilot's Display Units, display lighting control, and system interface. The Ux Validator user interface displays the signal levels for the engine, fuel quantity, rotor and transmission in relation to what should be indicated on the aircraft CDU/PDUs for on-aircraft diagnostics. An Ux Validator is needed to operate the Limit Switch/Stabilator Position Sensor Set, but it is not part of the set. The Ux Validator family of test solutions delivers versatility, ease-of-use and reliability. The Ux Validator, in conjunction with the test sets included in this effort, is used to test various avionics systems on the HH-60G.
