- Page 2 of 2 Purpose: The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to Sterile Processing Technicians for the Sterile Processing Services of VA New York Harbor Healthcare System. Authority: Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-solicitation Notices. Description: New York Harbor Healthcare System has a need for Temporary Sterile Processing Technicians services beginning August 19, 2021. Place of Performance: The contract technician may be assigned to work at either of these two sites within VA NYHHS: - SPS Manhattan Campus, VA NYHHS 423 East 23rd Street New York, NY 10010 - SPS Brooklyn Campus, VA NYHHS 800 Poly Place Brooklyn, NY 11209 Competitive Acquisition: This will be a competitive acquisition set-aside for service disable veterans owned small business (SDVOSB). Contract Type: Firm Fixed-Price. Period of Performance: This acquisition contains a base 120 workdays with one-120 workdays option period. Government-Furnished Property/Equipment: None noted at this time. Release Date of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that Solicitation No. 36C24221Q1096 will be released in the month of July 2021.
