Description

The Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) intends to award a service contract for preventive maintenance on the Dynex DSX (SN: 1DXC3368) to be used in the Naval Infectious Diseases Diagnostic Laboratory. The proposed source is Dynex Technologies, 14340 Sullyfield Circle, Chantilly, VA 20151 USA. The Naval Infectious Diseases Diagnostic Laboratory has a critical need to have a preventive maintenance for their Dynex DSX (SN: 1DXC3368). It is necessary for a service contract to be set up in order for the laboratory to maintain its laboratory accreditation from the College of American Pathologist (CAP) and for the laboratory to receive 501 (k) clearance from the FDA for in vitro diagnostic use. This service agreement will provide routine preventative maintenance visits, unlimited repair services in a competent and efficient manner, and supply replacement parts free of charge.� Since Dynex Technologies is the sole manufacturer of the Dynex DSX, its spare parts and the sole provider of maintenance and repair services, they are the only company who can provide the repair and maintenance service for this machine. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) calendar days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to Contract Specialist by 11:00AM ET on July 27, 2021.
