- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to answer these vendor questions associated with this Scope of Work (SOW) below and extend the closing date to Friday, 7/16/2021, 4:00PM EST: Which work will need to be scheduled on weekends and/or off normal hours? No work is required to be performed on weekends or off hours Can you provide nameplate information for all transformers to have oil replaced, including tap changers? Additional pictures of the nameplates as follows: Is the Government providing all the electrical equipment to be replaced as stated in section B.3.3 Schedule part (B)? If not, will a BOM be issued? BOM to be supplied by the contractor. Can you provide a one-line diagram of your electrical system that indicates all equipment to be repaired and/or maintained? The VA will act as the controlling agent, one lines will not be provided and LOTO will be given day of work being performed with review and toolbox safety talk. The SOW B.3.4 A.4© calls out ensuring that all fuse links and/or capacitor bonds are unbroken and pass continuity tests. We can easily perform this work. The question is what do we do if we find a bad fuse? As a point of info, capacitor fuses are generally a long lead item and could easily be 6 to 8 weeks at this voltage level in today s market. If there is a bad fuse, order it. Despite market impact the work must still be done. Repairs or replacements will take as long as it takes. The SOW will allow ample time for such repairs/replacements. The SOW B.3.4 A.4(d&e) calls out replacing the 4160v to 120v fused transformer and the heating elements. Who is supplying the parts? SOW B.3.4 B states that the replacement electrical equipment shall be provided by the Government, but it is not clear to us. Same goes for the heating element in the tap changers in B.3.4 A2a. Please clarify who is supplying these parts. The obligation of purchasing parts is part of the bid like the parts required for the tap changer repairs. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
