- Description
- The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a construction requirement at Lowell NHP in Lowell, MA. Work will consist of providing all labor, qualified supervision, material, tools, equipment, supplies and incidentals to rehabilitate Northern Canal Pedestrian Bridge at Lowell National Historic Park. Work includes repairing the concrete piers, replacing the steel bearing plates, replacing the wood plank walking surface and the metal guard railing on both sides of the bridge. A detailed Statement of Work and specification will be provided with final solicitation documents. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P4321R0018. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued on or about 7/29/21 and will be posted to the U.S. government�s website for contracting opportunities at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early September. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Middlesex County, Massachusetts will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238110 Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors, and the size standard is $16.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
