- This is a sources sought notice for information and planning purposes and shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the VA. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify qualified businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business, 8a Small Business and Small Business concerns that are interested in and are capable of performing the work described herein. Your responses to the sources sought will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 21 will be issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) to award a contract for eighteen (18) Medication Labeling Systems for the VA San Francisco Health Care System, 4150 Clement St., San Francisco, CA 94121. The intent is for this procurement to be a brand name or equal requirement. The brand name would be Codonics Safe Labeling System (SLS). The salient characteristics are: ability to fit on top of the current anesthesia medication cart (the measurement of the area is 27 ½ Width by 18 ¼ Depth), must print syringe labels, labels shall meet international color standards as well as national standards for labeling (JC, USP), point-of-care, site license, wifi kit, systems management software, power outlet, data cable input, ink, label paper, the ability to connect via smartphone is not supported. The contract will also include in the base contract installation, training and monthly support with four one-year options for monthly support. The government intends to award a base plus four one-year options firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code is 339112 and the corresponding size standard is 1,000 employees. Interested businesses shall send by email only, the following information: Socio-Economic Category, DUNS number, whether your company would offer the brand name or offer an equal (if offering an equal, please state the system being offered), and a statement that your company is authorized to provide monthly support for the labeling systems.
