Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for a replacement Philips Ultrasound software upgrade for the Washington DC VA Medical Center (688),50 Irving St NW, Washington, DC 20422 The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). Far Part 13.501(a) Sole Source (including brand name) acquisitions The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order against contract VA797H17D0022 : Company Name: PHILIPS HEALTHCARE Address: 22100 BOTHELL EVERETT HWY BOTHELL,WA 98021-8431 Phone: 800-225-0230 The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is (334517) and the Business Size Standard is (1000) employees. The Government has a requirement to upgrade to the Philips Ultrasound 5.0 Software-101911 EPIQ 7 Upgrade, Tranducer, and install to upgrade the current outdated equipment are currently used by the facility. The Philips Healthcare equipment is currently used by radiology Medical providers to provide patient care to our Nation s Veterans. The requirement is available on a GSA contract; delaying award will have adverse impacts on patient care at the Washington DC VAMC. The estimated base value of this acquisition is approximately ($40K). The estimated award date is on or before 7/20/2021. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 1300 PM Eastern Time (7/18/2021). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
