Description

The Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna (DDSP) requires a contract to maintain Fire Protection Systems located throughout the site in a state of readiness such that if called on in the event of a fire, there is a high level of confidence that these systems will perform their intended function. Fire Protection Systems refers to either mechanical or electrical systems utilized for the suppression of fires and the notification of fires to building occupants and firefighting personnel. The Scope of Work includes two types of service as follows: � Preventive Maintenance (PM) of fire protection systems includes the periodic inspection and testing to assure operability and reliability of active components in the event these components are called into service. PM is scheduled maintenance and occurs during normal business hours. � Remedial Maintenance (RM) is unscheduled work that needs to be performed to bring the system back to full performance. This work may be required at any time of day and would typically be in response to a failed or failing component within a fire suppression or fire alarm system. Contract SP3300-16-C-0041 is currently in place with Media Plumbing Heating, Inc. DBA Kinetix for the above required services.� The contract period of performance ends July 17, 2021.� DLA Distribution located at New Cumberland, PA is currently in the process of soliciting a re-compete for the services and anticipates an award by January 18, 2022.� To ensure that a break in services is not experienced, DDSP would like to modify contract SP3300-16-C-0041 to extend services for six months in accordance with FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, which will be modified into the contract.� This modification is a sole source modification under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) �Only One Responsible Source/a Limited Number of Responsible Sources and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be posted after the execution of the modification.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 238220 and the size standard is $16,500,000.�������� To receive an award resulting from solicitations, your company must be registered in the System for Award Management IAW FAR 4.1102 at www.sam.gov. �
