- Description
- DESCRIPTION: The National Institutes of Health NICHD intends to procure the services of a contractor to provide a Biomarker discovery panel by performing both PCA analysis and statistics across all analytes and provide a detailed report that will be ready for publication. The Lab has some complex data sets of assays that are time-consuming to manage and lack the right staff and equipment to analyze the assays. These assays and are being used by other research labs in NPC to compare data they need to be conducted on the same platform. The Lab has 55 samples that are ready to be submitted for analysis and a Cross comparison of SLOS, NPC, & CTD disease states in pediatric CSF samples. Scope and Deliverables: For this project, the Lab needs Biomarker discovery to elucidate mechanistic differences between 3 different disease states vs. controls The Lab will expect a full Web report and access to all sequences analyzed within a few weeks part of the Deliverables: Separation, identification, and quantification of over 1000 individual molecular species of lipids in 55 samples from patients enrolled in an approved clinical trial Data Spreadsheet, per sample listing: Named lipid molecules detected Relative quantitation of each lipid molecule Heat Map & Statistical Results, for each group: Detected lipid compounds grouped by subtype and pathway Fold-change relative to comparator group and, for associated statistical analyses, p-value and q-value A summary highlighting differences between patient groups Short presentation slide deck providing graphical support for highlighted differences between the patient groups 1- A relative concentration profile of all structurally named and unnamed small-molecule entities, which can include both endogenous compounds, xenobiotics, and their metabolites, extracted from the samples and detected by the Global Metabolomics platform. 2- A statistical analysis of the resulting data, which typically consists of univariate significance tests (t-tests, ANOVA, repeated measures analysis, etc.) and, if appropriate, classification analyses. 3. Comprehensive biochemical interpretation of selected, statistically significant metabolites provided in a Word report. An outline of the analytical methods to be provided in the report Appendix. 4. Access to the Client Portal for downloading the study deliverables. The Client Portal also provides data analysis and visualization tools that allow for further data exploration. Turnaround Time from receipt of samples and required information: 11- 15 weeks for Standard Preferred or Supported tubes. 12-16 weeks for NonStandard tubes. Combined Synopsis/solicitation: Initial market research conducted by the Lab has shown availability of different companies in the field of metabolomics in Commercial market. The Lab has already solicited from different vendors, including Illumina, Metabolon, TFS, IDTDNA, and received quotes. The proposed contract action is for which the Government does not intend to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Instead, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations. This notice is a request for competitive quotes and all quotes received within the time and date of publication of this Notice# HHSNNBiomarker071321 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement. This RFQ will award to the LPTA with all salient characteristics and compatibility with previous research . The Lab/customer will provide the samples (Cell Type: Fluid). All quotes will be evaluated equally after close of this solicitation and award will be made thereafter. HOW TO RESPOND: In order to compete for this project, interested parties must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration/SAM and submit a price quotation by 10:00 am, ET, July 29th, 2021. Offerors should submit one copy of the quote to MOE FILALI via email. Electronic transmissions to Moe.Filali@nih.gov are preferable but must be timely.
