Description
FY21SHIL REPLACE PORCH CEILING & WOOD TRIM AT VC The National Park Service, Southeast Region, West Major Acquisition Buying Office, hereby issues a combined synopsis/solicitation for a requirement for Shiloh National Military Park. Project consist of completely removing approximately 400 square feet of plaster ceiling and wood trim. New firring/nailing strips shall be installed on the flat roofs 2 inch x 10 inch stringers for new ceiling to be screwed to. A minimum of 1/2 inch sheetrock shall be installed and finished accordingly to hide screws and seems. After sanding, It shall be primed and painted white using two coats of Sherwin Williams or equivalent exterior latex paint to match existing paint. Wood trim if any shall then be installed and painted to match existing color. Also, a rotted horizontal wood beam, boards, and trim will be removed and replaced with new in-kind materials. Care shall be taken to match existing trim and wood facia boards. This is a historic building and replacing wood boards and trim must match exactly. Screw jacks and temporary support post may need to be used when removing beams and trim. After replacement, new wood shall then be primed and painted with two coats of Sherwin Williams or equivalent exterior satin paint. Park can supply paint formula for correct color. Approximate length of repair is twelve feet. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $11,000 - $22,000. Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wages for Hardin County, Tennessee will apply. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220. It is the contractor�s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This Acquisition shall result in award of a firm fixed price contract expected to be awarded by early August 2021. Evaluation factors: The selection will be made by evaluating proposals based on cost, technical approach and relevant experience. See clause section for weighting of these three evaluation factors. Bidders must be able to provide references of applicable experience in order to receive the award.
