Description

THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Program Office (PMA-242), intends to�award a sole source�Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) modification to Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Northridge, CA on an existing contract. The anticipated modification provides for the procurement of components required by NGDS to sustain and complete repairs for the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM). This is a�Life of Type Buy (LoTB) for the SAASM GPS Receiver Part number 7133050 which will modify Full Rate Production (FRP) 9 contract for end of life materials in support of sustaining AARGM Depot, AARGM FMS and AARGM-Extended Range (AARGM-ER) requirements. Contract award is anticipated for FY22. This synopsis is published for informative purposes (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS).� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact NGDS, directly. The Government does not own the technical data and will not be issuing a solicitation.� There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.� Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract.� This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. As the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the AARGM missile, NGDS is the only source that currently possesses sufficient requisite knowledge, engineering expertise, aircraft integration information, and technical data required to perform these efforts. No other source has the technical qualification, access to the technical data and necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Government's requirements.
