- Description
- Please see attached documents. Please ensure your bid matches the attached salient characteristics exactly. ***Updated 7/12/21 to provide the following questions asked and answered: 1.) Does the customer need a hardware RAID controller? If yes, do they need a cache? Yes, we are looking specifically for this card:LSI MegaRAID SAS 9341-8i, SAS 12 GB/s, 8-Port, PCIe 3.0 x8, controller. 2.) Does the customer need OOB license for remote connectivity or management suite license? No. 3.) Is the customer going to install OS in the system? If yes, what OS is needed? No, no OS is needed. 4.) Any RAID array needed to be set up for the drives? We will be needing RAID 10 and JBOD. We need specifically this RAID controller: LSI MegaRAID SAS 9341-8i, SAS 12 GB/s, 8-Port, PCIe 3.0 x8, Controller. 5.) Does the customer need NBD or 4HR or depot warranty? Warranty from OEM is fine. No additional warranty is needed. ***Updated 7/14 to provide the following questions asked and answered: 1.) CPU, the model number asked for, 6136, is not available from Supermicro, only the 6226. The 6136 can be procured and installed separately. We know this model is compatible and need this model. 2. The Seagate requested, ST2000NM0045 is EOL and not on the qualified list for Supermicro. Supermicro went with the new model ST2000NM003A. ST2000NM0045 is compatible. We know they are still available through a limited number of vendors. 3.) SAS Controller-Supermicro does not sell the LSI9341-8i so they subbed their controller 3108. Supermicro will not sell the 9341-8i because the 9341-8i only supports RAID 0, 1, & 5 where the 3108 supports hardware RAID 5. LSI9341-8i is the only one that meets our requirement. We are aware that it does support RAID 10 as it has already been tested. We are trying to maintain the same exact configuration provided on the requirements list. 4.) Since the Seagate 2TB drives requested are no on Supermicro's compatibility list, and the solicitation states no parts may be swapped out, how would you like us to proceed on this quote? ST2000NM0045 is the only drive accepted at this time. 5.) The Supermicro Superserver 6039P-TXRT is EOL, can you provide an alternate model number? We are aware this part is EOL, but at this time no alternates are accepted.
