Description
VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System | I-STAT Reagents Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses capable of providing Abbott i-Stat Reagents Medrad Stellant as listed in the below Statement of Need. This system will be delivered to the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. It is expected that NAICS Code 621511, Medical Laboratories will be used for this solicitation. Vendors to this Sources Sought Notice shall demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the i-STAT Reagents listed below. Vendors shall include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Business size. Vendors shall indicate if they are the direct supplier of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at Justin.Erdley@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 4:30 pm (ET) on Friday, July 16, 2021. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to Justin.Erdley@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey either. This request is for a Base Year (10/1/20-9/30/21) plus 2 Option Year 1. Background. i-STAT analyzers provide testing for a patient s troponin, creatinine, chem 8+, and CG4+ levels. This testing is vital to critically ill patients that present to the emergency room. These tests are reported in a matter of minutes. Treatment is expedited for the patient as a result. 2. Requirements The contractor must provide reagents and quality control that are compatible with the Abbott i-STAT. The reagent cartridges must be provided on a monthly basis. The quality control materials must be provided quarterly. Materials will be scheduled for shipment according to the needs of Ancillary Testing. The Ancillary supervisor and the two Ancillary techs be the individuals designated to order against this contract. All reagents will be delivered to the dock area of : VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System University Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15240 Materials will be shipped within 3 business days of ordering. Quarterly updates of materials shipped from the vendor will be sent via email to the Ancillary Testing contact at VA Pittsburgh. Printed SDS will be available upon request. Freight charges will be the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor will be responsible for the repairs and all associated cost of the analyzer. If needed, the contractor will provide a replacement analyzer. Customer service and hotline must be available to VA Pittsburgh at all times. All software and other related upgrades will be provided by the contractor.
