- W912PM21B0011 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to perform maintenance dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, North Carolina. The project includes Maintenance Dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) channel between Morehead City and Shallotte, North Carolina.� The maintenance dredging work will consist of removal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels since the various areas were last dredged.� Dredging depth is 12� plus 2� of allowable overdepth for the AIWW channels.� The total estimated quantity of material to be dredged is 300,000 cubic yards.�� Placement of dredged material for the AIWW channels will be on approved ocean beaches and disposal islands.� The disposal islands are confined disposal areas with containment dikes and spillway systems. There is an environmental window for placement of dredged material on ocean beaches which extends from 16 November to 31 March or from 16 November to 30 April depending on the beach disposal area location All dredging shall be performed by hydraulic cutter suction dredge. There are no environmental dredging windows for the AIWW channels. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business set-aside. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.00.� The bid opening date�is specified in the solicitation. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided.�� Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 � Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $30,000,000.00.� Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
