- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotation for the demolition of two government properties referred to as Champion and Lehman. Reclamation has been directed to increase channel capacity of the San Joaquin River, which will raise groundwater into the root zones of crops potentially causing negative impacts on several properties in Madera County. For this reason, Reclamation has acquired two properties: Parcel 041-070-002 (Champion) and Parcel 041-130-001(Lehman). The two properties will be demolished under this solicitation. This solicitation will be issued as a small business set aside under NAICS code 238910 with a size standard of $16.5 million using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Part 13. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement includes the clause for alternative payment protections of either a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit. If the quote amount exceeds $150,000, then a performance and payment bond would be required. If the quote amount is less than $150,000, a performance bond does not apply, and the Contractor could choose to use a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit as the method of payment protection. Solicitation number 140R2021Q0099 will be posted electronically to www.sam.gov on or about July 30, 2021. The anticipated quote due date will be August 30, 2021. Prospective contractors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. Questions concerning this notice should be directed to Michael Hodahkwen by email at mhodahkwen@usbr.gov.
