- Description
- The FAA is currently seeking qualified contractors to address anticipated emerging requirements for Furniture Installation Services. Qualified contractors must provide services, on a firm-fixed price basis. The specific services will be identified by way of individual Task Orders (TO) or Contract Lines Items Numbers (CLIN). Each TO or CLIN will be issued and identified within the Statement of work (SOW). For purposes of identifying eligible sources, the government will pay only for productive direct labor hours, which are those hours expended by authorized contractor personnel in performing work under scope. This does not include sick leave, vacation, holidays, jury duty, military leave, or any other kind of administrative leave. Productive direct labor hours include hours expended by the contractor on matters related to contract management and administration only to the extent those such hours are specifically excluded from indirect rates in accordance with the contractors usual accounting practices. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) Policy 3.2.1.2.1, the purpose of this market survey is to solicit realistic cost estimates from qualified providers. This information will be used to aid the FAA in developing an accurate budget for this type of work. This market survey will also solicit statements of interest and capabilities from interested business concerns including the Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) firms, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), and other small business concerns. Furthermore, this survey will aid the FAA in its determination as to whether adequate competition exists to set-aside part or all of the competition amongst eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) program. This market survey will also, determine if adequate competition exist amongst other small businesses such as Women Owned Businesses, SBA Certified Small Disadvantaged Businesses or whether it is more appropriate to conduct this procurement as a full and open competition. The principle North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this effort is 238390
