Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation for Construction Services for the Harry. S. Truman Dam and Reserviour Spillway Bridge Superstructure Girder Crack Repair, Warsaw, MO. The RFQ will result in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) construction contract. The general scope of work includes but is not limited to: Construction Contractor is to repair the longitudinal crack in the weld between the coverplate and bottom flange of the upstream girder (Girder 1) I Span 1 a the Spillway Bridge at Harry S. Truman, near Warsaw, Missouri.� The existing structure is a four-span steel girder-floorbeam-stringer bridge with two main girders and floorbeams and stringers.� The two main girders are 33 WF 240 steel sections, the floorbeams are 24 WF 160 and the stringers are 24 WF 84.� The main girders have a 15�x7/8� cover plate welded on the bottom flange.� The steel is ASTM A36 steel.� Each span is simply supported with fixed bearings and expansion bearings under each girder at each end.� The main girders and the interior floorbeams are composite with the bridge deck.� The existing paint system is original and likely contains lead.� The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, access and materials, and services required to complete the work in accordance with the specifications. This is project will be advertised as 100% Small Business set-aside. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000.00. There will not be organized site visit is planned for this solicitation. Details of any planed site-visit will be included in the solicitation. No Bid Bonds will be required for this procurement. At this time, one options has been identified for this project.� If the price schedule is changed to include options after release of the solicitation, the solicitation will be amended accordingly. The estimated performance period for completion of construction is 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). This procurement is a competitive Small Business set-aside utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction). Offerors are responsible for checking the beta.sam.gov Contracting Opportunities website frequently for any update(s) or questions and answers to the Solicitation. The website is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. Any amendments will be available through beta.sam.gov. The government is not responsible for any loss of internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document at the referenced website. Prior to submitting an offer, interested offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Proposals from contractors without an active SAM registration will not be considered for award. Firms can register via the SAM internet website at https://www.sam.gov/SAM/. If the offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity must have a valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. SAM.GOV registration is free of charge. For assistance with SAM registration, please visit https://www.aptacus.org/. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments prior to closing; therefore, it is the Offeror's responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments to the solicitation. The solicitation has been posted on July 16, 2021. Technical inquiries and questions relating to the solicitation are to be submitted via email to the POC listed on beta.sam.gov when the solicitation is made available.
