This requirement is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. General Description: The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8, VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) has a requirement to provide all labor, tools, material, and equipment necessary to design and replace the motor control center at OPA Basement and Main Building Sub-Basement Area, VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS), San Juan, PR. This project will replace an existing electrical distribution system that is over 40 years old and needs to be upgraded to serve VACHS facility. These motor control centers have exceeded its life expectancy. This work involves installation of six (6) new Motor Control Centers (MCC) 800 amps minimum capacity at OPA Basement and Main Building. All electrical equipment and components associated with the MCCs shall be furnished by contractor including new conduits and feeders. Disconnection, removal, and disposal of existing MCCs, its components and as well as other abandoned in place equipment. Design and construction of an equipment lift. Provide an analysis of the best location, elevator type and load capacity (minimum 3,000 pounds) to be able to perform the necessary equipment installation and removals. The lift shall comply with all local and federal regulations and shall be protected from weather inclemency. Remove and replacement of existing lighting fixtures on B9. Provide project management including the completion and delivery of all pertinent permits and applications. Provide all testing required for wiring and equipment installation. The NCO 8 anticipates the award of a firm-fixed-price contract to provide the design build services to replace motor control center at OPA Basement and Main Building Sub-Basement Area at the VACHS. The magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about June 16, 2021. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Beta.SAM.gov website at beta.SAM.gov. All interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management SAM.GOV.
