NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The Government �hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price task order for software workshos. Company Name: Stitching Maritiem Research Institute (MARIN) It is the belief of the government that this company is the sole source for FREDYN and PANSHIP Software and the only company able to provide the workshops.� (See attached justification [JOTFOC]) The total estimated value is less than $35,000.00. This sole source contracting action is in accordance with Federal Aquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(2)(b) (exclusive licensing rights) and 6.303-2 modified to reflect procedures in 13.5 (a)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the item/s included in this requirement.� FREDYN and PANSHIP Software Workshops. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be� advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the� mission objectives. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the� Government.� Information received will �be considered for the purposes of determining� whether to conduct a competitive solicitation for future requirements regarding this software.� The Government will not be responsible for any costs� incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
