Description
The Army Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to competitively award, under a Total Small Business Set-Aside, a new Firm Fixed Price (FFP),contract for Museum Fabrication & Installation services at the US Cavalry Division Museum in Fort Riley, Kansas. This effort is in support of the Army Museum Enterprise (AME) mission to collect, preserve, interpret, and display historical military material, culture, and artifacts. The award will consist of a 12-month base period. The US Cavalry Division Museum was originally constructed in 1855 for use as a hospital, the building was remodeled and became headquarters to the Cavalry and Light Artillery School in 1890. The museum covers the history of the cavalry and its use by the United States Army from the Revolutionary War through the branchs inactivation in 1950. The need for this requirement is the result of the museum building undergoing a complete renovation to upgrade its systems to meet current museum standards and Americans with Disability Act requirements. The services will include preparing shop drawings, fabricating all exhibit components, packing, shipping and installation of historic objects into those components, and performing the final focusing of lighting. The museum is 7,550 square feet and is divided into two floors. It has 14 sections of museum exhibits and houses approximately 321 artifacts. In order to receive the design package, please contact Contract Specialist, Meika Cole, meika.j.cole.civ@mail.milto have the design package sent to you by DODSAFE (Secure Access File Exchange) or by requesting access through SAM.
