Good morning, The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 on behalf of Fayetteville VAMC is conducting Market Research through this sources sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Businesses, registered under NAICS code 339113, capable of providing a patient elopement protection system. If your company provides this type of system, please provide product information and brochure to facilitate further market research: Elopement Protection System shall: Be an all-inclusive enterprise solution used to track patients at risk of elopement. Piggyback off the VA Wi-Fi network infrastructure, extending to close structures within the Wi-Fi range. Controllers will have Wi-Fi receivers for when building Wi-Fi is down or another method of back up protection. Patient monitoring tags will have options for rechargeable batteries with 10 days of battery life or replaceable batteries with 1 year battery life. Software will have the ability to notify staff of low battery. Radio Frequencies shall not interfere with other medical devices. Scope of work: Installation of new system and removal of existing equipment or integration into new system. All respondents shall indicate the following: Whether or not they are small business manufacturers of the products they wish to offer, or Whether or not they are distributors of a small business manufacturer and the following: Does your company have 500 or less employees? Does your company engage in retail or wholesale and normally sell the type of product being supplied? Does your company take ownership or possession of the item(s) in a manner consistent with industry practice? Is your company interested in providing a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) or Open Market (indicate FSS contract #) quote? Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services under the same or a related NAICS codes. Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services that are registered under the same or a related NAICS code with the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE); Provide the certification type (SDVOSB/VOSB), Federal Identification Number, and state of incorporation for each. Do you plan on responding to a solicitation for this requirement with a Joint Venture utilizing multiple owned companies as majority or non-majority owner? Yes ___No ___ If yes, please identify which companies are considering a Joint Venture and the ownership of each company. Failure to provide the above information may result in the potential offeror being considered incapable of meeting the VA s needs If the contractor can provide the above items, the contractor shall provide a letter from the manufacturer stating they are an authorized distributor/licenser of their products. Failure to submit an authorized distributor letter shall result in the product(s) potentially offered to be considered grey market and shall not be considered technically acceptable. If the contractor can provide the above product and services, please indicate in your response that the above requirements can be met and provide a brochure of its product. The capability statements received from this market research are for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research.
