Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY.  It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of providing the requested commodities. The NAICS Code is 339113; size standard is 750 employees. No set-aside. Accepting all socio-economic and large business responses. Do not send bids at this time. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name  b) address (c) socio-economic status, (d) point of contact (e) phone, fax, and email (f) DUNS number (g) Cage Code  (h) Tax ID Number (i) and must  provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor and provide the commodities described below.    Arjo Maxi Sky2 Ceiling Lifts Scope of Work: Replacement of all existing Ceiling Lifts at the Manhattan, Brooklyn, and St. Albans VA within the New York Harbor Healthcare System (NYH). The overhead, ceiling mounted patient lift motors will be replaced utilizing the existing ceiling lift track currently in use. The contractor will change the existing charging system to include continuous charge in each room. A minimum hoist Capacity of 600 lbs. NYH Biomedical Engineering (HTM) department at all sites has reviewed the industry leading products in the industry and determined the Arjo Maxi Sky 2 is the optimal ceiling lift for our Veterans. Deliverable Items: Maxi Sky 2 Ceiling Lift Motors for all 3 campuses / Qty 241 Latest Spreader bar and accessories / Qty 241 Installation, Deflection Testing, Engineering Drawings. Includes all labor and parts to ensure all ceiling lifts are fully functionality and safe for use on patients. New Track Assembly - 3 meter Kwiktrak & 4.5 meter Kwiktrak Hardware Kit - Required to upgrade from the current charging stations on the track to have continuous charging Response due no later than 15:00 EST July 27, 2021. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.  Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM located on the web at www.sam.gov). It is desirable that any Offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. Requests for information and resultant responses shall be submitted directly to the contracting officer, Paul Speedling at Paul.Speedling@va.gov. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Response due no later than 15:00 EST on July 27, 2021.
