- Re: RFQ Number: 36C24821Q1203 Questions/Answers How can we obtain a campus site map and CAD drawings of the building(s) that are in the scope of work? Attachments added to Amendment How will the VA facilities personnel provide the contractor access to high secure/locked areas? For example, will the selected contractor be provided badges and/or master key access or be accompanied by VA personnel in such areas? We will issue keys or provide escorts depending on the area Are any of the backflow prevention assemblies at the supply mains located within a confined space or crawl space? No but some are above ceiling. Can you provide the square footage of facility as well as the number of floors and rooms contained within the building? 230000sq ft. 4 floors, number of rooms 744 Can you provide the number of domestic water inlets and pipe size, include the following: Domestic Fire Lawn irrigation (domestic or reclaim water) Secondary water supply I can provide prints of those areas to john Hamilton. Contractor can evaluate How many mechanical rooms are contained within the building? 2 penthouses, central energy plant Are there cafeteria and kitchen facilities in the building? Yes small Can you provide us with the number of domestic hot water make-ups (i.e., domestic heat exchangers/water heaters) within the building? 3 hot water heaters in the central energy plant Are there any other notable process water make-ups in the facility , e.g., heating, chiller, or cooling towers? Yes to all those Will the project involve areas that require special scheduling or to be conducted before/after the regular 8-hour work day schedule, e.g., in/outpatient surgery, sterilization, grey room, etc.? we work from 6:30am to 5pm, we can provide windows in that timeframe Finally, can you provide the year the facility was built and if any additions, e.g., new floors, bump outs, etc., have been added since? 2012 opening no additions 12. What is the square footage (sqft) of the Lee County VA Health Care Center to be surveyed for the solicitation. How many floors will be survey? Can you provide a floor plan or plumbing diagram to estimate how long the survey will take to complete? 230000sq ft yes we can provide diagrams 13. Will the Lee County Health Care Center provide a person to escort and assist in access each area with potable water? Only when necessary for access 14. Will the LCHCC require an opening meeting before the cross-connection survey begins. Will a closing meeting be required as well? yes 15. Can the training of staff be conducted during the closing meeting from a powerpoint presentation to be able to identify/ recognize cross connection hazard, and a method to eliminate to condition or hazard? yes
