Description
Title: Pope Airfield Pool Filters FA480921Q0075 Description: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to remove the old Sand Filters and replace with two Regenerative Media Filtration units with BECSys (digital) controls (or equal) within a filtration system capable of filtering within the 1 to 5 micron range for 430,000 gallon facility the 352D SWTS, Pope Field, NC, 28308. It was determined during a maintenance visit that the existing Sand Filters are not functioning as they should and leaking sand, interfering with and causing corrosion and wear to all the aquatic systems.� Contractor will replace the two existing sand filtration systems with a new automated, filtration system capable of filtering within the 1 to 5 micron range. All quantities in this statement of work shall be verified by the contractor at the site visit. The controllers for the filters that are being installed must be able to flawlessly communicate with the existing controllers. Primary and back-up system: regenerative media filtration (1118 sf filtration area NSF 50 rated at 1.7gpm/sf) or 1900gpm per filter valves, media fill, touch screen control with automatic revival/cleaning cycle and communications package. The anticipated Period of Performance is going to be 15 Sept 2021 thru 30 Nov 2021. Award is anticipated early September 2021. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where work is to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. A site visit will be scheduled for early August; the date will be posted with the Solicitaiton. Only one site visit will be held. This is NOT a solicitation!� Do not submit proposals or questions in response to this document.� The solicitation will be issued electronically and will be available on http://www.beta.SAM.gov, on or about 4 August 2021.� No telephone calls or written requests for the solicitation package will be accepted.� All prospective offerors are responsible for visiting the web page frequently to obtain the solicitation and any amendments or other information pertaining to this solicitation.� Prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) �in order to be eligible for award.� Representations and Certifications must also be updated via SAM.� See https://www.sam.gov and https://www.acquisition.gov for registration information.
