Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following services: Provide industrial hygiene hazard assessment services for operating room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and gun-cleaning and firing activities as well as an ergonomics assessment of one grounds maintenance task at the Mann-Grandstaff Veterans Affairs Medical Center (the VA) in Spokane, Washington. Contractor shall provide the Spokane VAMC with a qualified Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to design and oversee the monitoring strategy for the project, which includes completing a qualitative job hazard assessment (JHA) in each applicable area following a template to be provided by the facility; collecting employee exposure samples and comparing to the applicable occupational exposure limit(s); verifying adequacy of existing engineering controls from air and noise sampling results and/or determining the appropriate level of respiratory/hearing protection required; and assessing whole-body vibration risks on groundskeepers while operating tractors with street cleaners attached. Potential candidates having the capabilities necessary to provide the above stated equipment with installation are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Laura Davis at laura.davis5@va.gov no later than July 30th, 5PM PDT. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; capability statement and if the services are available on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. NAICS Code 541620 is applicable to determine business size standard. Any questions or concerns may also be directed to Laura Davis via e-mail. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. The Government may or may not issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time.
