- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (MARKET SURVEY) NOTICE ONLY, NOT A SOLICITATION AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS SUCH. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this notice, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purpose only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research to assist the Government in crafting an appropriate solicitation. Real Time Patient Positioning, Tracking and Surveillance System AlignRT System (brand name or equal) The G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS is seeking to purchase a brand name or equal Real Time Patient Positioning, Tracking and Surveillance System. The brand name AlignRT System. The Government intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed priced contract. Potential sources shall submit: Business name, address, point of contact and phone#, DUNS, business size and socio-economic category Capability statement and product literature/brochures demonstrating ability to meet all of the requirements/salient characteristics listed if other than the brand name product is being offered If not the manufacturer, only authorized representative/providers/distributors of the manufacturer will be considered. Proof of authorized dealer or reseller letter from manufacturer The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339112 small business size standard is 1,000 employees. This is a brand name or equal sources sought. As such, the salient characteristics reflect the physical, functional, or performance characteristics that equal products must meet to satisfy the Government s needs. To be considered for any potential solicitation, offers of equal products, including equal products of the brand name manufacturer, must: (a) Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this notice; clearly identify the item by Brand name, if any and make/model number. (b) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to descriptive data or information available that identifies that the equal item meets or exceeds the salient characteristics required by the Government. SPECIFICATIONS/SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: Background: The system will show any motion in all six degrees of freedom and may be viewed throughout treatment. In addition, selected regions of the patient s surface may be monitored in real time. Any movements outside user defined tolerances are detected automatically. This is best practice for external body sites such as breast, sarcomas, and for use in all high dose cases to ensure accurate setup and detect patient movement during treatment. Scope: Provide a system that is compatible and will interface with the current AlignRT system and current Varian 21EX linear accelerator. The new system shall connect to the current Align RT system and must be installed and aligned to validate accuracy by certify Vision RT. The new system shall connect to the current 21EX Varian linear accelerator and interface to the machine. Specific task: Contractor shall provide the complete AlignRT system (or equal); Install and validate system accuracy. Description: Align RT system for patient setup, surveillance (including stereo tactic treatments). Includes three camera units and interface to Varian's MMI (Motion Management Interface) which allows automated beam hold on the Varian Clinic. Jackson VA Hospital 1 Real Time Coach unit: Couch mounted wireless device, attached via clamp and gooseneck. Includes LCD screen to provide visual feedback to patients of their motion. Summary of Requirement/Salient Characteristics: Radiation Oncology is using advanced treatment procedures to improve patient treatment. AlignRT brand provides an advanced real time 3D surveillance capability showing a continuously updating display. (1) ALRT-RTC Real Time Coach (1) Real Time Coach: Wireless couch mounted patient feedback unit.
