Description: This study will produce a consensus report that synthesizes the information gathered on the determinants of intergenerational poverty and the effectiveness of policy and programmatic efforts to reduce intergenerational poverty. The Committee will make recommendations regarding policy options for reducing intergenerational poverty and improving child welfare. Recommendations from the Committee will be considered by HHS, the Administration, and Congress in the development of programs and policies to meet the goal of reducing intergenerational poverty and improving child welfare. Key project tasks include Select Experts to the Consensus Committee; Convene the Consensus Committee; and Write the Consensus Report with Recommendations.
