Description
The Air Force intends to solicit the following service: Scope: The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, test equipment, material, parts, quality control, transportation and inspection manuals necessary to perform the Test, Teardown, Evaluation, Repair, Calibration and Installation at the Oklahoma City�Air Logistics Complex (OC-ALC). The equipment is listed in Appendix A. The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring all services, parts and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) components provided under this contract are in accordance with (IAW) the terms and conditions outlined herein, conform to the manufacturer�s equipment specifications and this PWS. Known Problems: Suspected spindle bearings are locked up due to cooling issues. Showing signs of heat damage, gauling, & metal shavings. SNK 5 axis cannot run under load until spindle is repaired & root cause is resolved. Requested Services: The Contractor shall perform the Test, Teardown, Evaluation, Repair, Calibration and Installation on the equipment listed in Appendix A. Evaluation and repair of SNK HPS120A Spindle shall consist of the following: � Contractor shall perform an incoming test run and vibration analysis � Contractor shall perform an assembled spindle inspection � Contractor shall disassemble and clean the spindle and all components � Contractor shall provide a failure analysis determination and report � Contractor shall inspect all components to determine scope of rework to bring all components to OEM specification � Contractor shall replace all precision bearings with new precision bearings � After repair, contractor shall perform a two-stage balance test, re-assemble the spindle, perform a test run, and perform a vibration analysis A Firm Fixed Price type contract is contemplated. Estimated Period of Performance: �90 days ARO System for Award Management (SAM) is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811310 with a size standard of $8M. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting a proposal.
