Description
This update is provided to correct the decription for the original Pre-Solicitation Notice posted on July 2, 2021� The actual IFB solicitation will be posted following this update.� Thank you for your interest and participation. This notice is for Solicitation 36C24221B0047, to Replace Compactor Station at the James J. Peters DVA Medical Center, located at 130 W. Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).� Prospective contractors must be registered and certified in the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) �VIP Registry database prior to submitting a bid: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov Bids will only be accepted from SDVOSBs that are determined to be responsible and responsive contractors.� Prospective contractors must be approved under NAICS Code 236220, with a Size Standard of $36.5 Million. The NAICS Code selected has been approved as the most appropriate for the project related tasks and SOW. This NAICS Code will not be subject for discussion or change. The cost range for this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Project No. 526-19-130; Replace Compactor Station at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx, New York.� SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, tools and supervision to complete the following: Renovate Compactor Station (Building 100 Ground Floor GH-02): The renovation of an approximately 3500 S.F. space on the Ground Floor H Wing of the Main Hospital (Building 100) of the James J. Peters VA Medical Center to completely renovate the existing Compactor Station.� The work includes but not limited to the construction of barriers to comply with infection control and life safety regulations, selective demolition, general carpentry, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and detection, HVAC, telecommunication, security systems, and interior finish work in accordance to the supplied specifications and drawings. In addition to the work detailed on the specifications and drawings, the contractor will be tasked to coordinate with San-I-Pak Inc. and the VA for the installation of the San-I-Pak provided metal platform and sterilizing machines shown on the drawing set.� If field changes for the site prep of the equipment is required, the contractor is expected to communicate between the VA COR, A/E consultant, and San-I-Pak. Anteroom and smoke barrier wall will be constructed along the perimeter of the project before any construction work commences.� All proper infection control and life safety measure will be provided and coordinated with Infection Control and Safety Officer. Notable skill trades: General Construction and Concrete Repair work Applicable NAICS Code: 236220. Estimated Completion Time: �310 Calendar Days from receipt of NTP. �Award will depend on availability of funds at time of award. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on https://beta.sam.gov/. The solicitation will be released on or about 07/21/2021. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov and be registered and verified as a SDVOSB in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement. Interested bidders are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time of bid opening.
